Re-starting the Lipdub tradition was proposed for the S7s

Basketball tournament update

-           Two representatives were voted for (Lena and Paula)

-           Rules have been set

-           Meeting with Mrs. Makarska to propose it

-           Organizer(s): Martyna Kuik and co-organiser to be chosen

New representatives were voted for CE working groups: Homework policy (Romano Ilaria), Child protection policy (SOMOS PAULA, KERECSEN-HORVÁTH Léna), Communication (DE BONIS Dilara), Mental health (VASILIU-BOLNAVU Nicole)

New SWALS representative (Samuel Rakus)

Changes to the Statute were discussed and voted for.

Recap Board of Governors meeting/Steering Committee Brussels

-           Talked about overcrowding in the EEB schools (especially EEB3 and EEB2)

-           The opening of the 5th school (Evere) → By 2030

Events

An event organized for the S1-S2s (disco) separate event organized for the S3s and S4s later along the year. (ball in school)

S7 Movie Night after preBACs-collaboration with the BAC committee

Improve S5 prom

Well-being:

A new psychologist has joined our school: Mrs. Follner – the Well-being working group discussed ways to improve the hospitality in school (such as adding benches.)

Booking a meeting with the school psychologist – Guide on how to do this on the CdE’s Instagram

Upcoming mental health and stress management workshops for S7

Improvement in the school’s suicide prevention policy

Green and hygiene:

Regulations with the feminine hygiene products - feminine hygiene have been made available in the bathrooms however they are still not financed by the school but by the Green and Hygiene WG so they must be used responsibly (don’t take them home and take only the amount that you need)

The topic of vandalism and solutions to prevent it were discussed; the Green and Hygiene working group proposed to make it a penalty for breaking school rules.

IT

EEB1 app notifications to be released before the return to school + improvements to the website

Public Relations

Petitioning the administration to start presentations to explain the CdE to younger students,

New class rep meeting on January 16th,

Promote school events (closest one is S12 disco).

New staff: 2 new English teachers: Mrs. Portanier and Mrs. Diamanti (replacing Mrs. Pascal)

Return of Mrs. Depret and Mrs. Andranmahefon-Gay

A new advisor should come in January

Incorporating religion and ethics into the philosophy course is being discussed, the OSG is managing all of this, the school direction can’t do anything big to change that

About the garbage and recycling policy:

The direction will make sure everything is in order and that the recycling is being respected

Important dates:

Oral bac exams: 22-30 of June

Last day of school: 19th of June

Work-experience for S5: 22 June-3 July

Resit sessions for S6: 22-26 of June

Activities organized by the school (trips, workshops etc.) for S1-S4: 23-26 of June (not the entire period)

B-tests and exams:

Harmonisation is not necessarily made regarding the subject, but it is more about the skills expected from the students

Inter-school events:

Euronight 2026 – Annual party organized by CoSup for S6-7s in all 13 official European schools + 17 accredited schools. This year it is held in Brussels the 7th of March (Saturday) at “Dome event hall” at Docks.
